2015-2016 Call for Editors

IDIOM is currently seeking new members to join the 2015-2016 Editorial Board. Positions available to assist in the production of the journal’s tenth volume include:

  • Four (4) Associate Editor positions for individuals interested in developing experience in the selection, editing, and publishing of literary criticism
  • One (1) Managing Editor to moderate the submissions process

If you are interested in getting involved with the University of Toronto (St. George Campus) English Department’s undergraduate academic journal for the 2015-2016 academic year, please visit the “Apply” section of our website to download an Application Form. For further information regarding each available position and its respective responsibilities, please consult the “FAQ” and “About” sections of our website.

Editorial Board commitment during the first semester will be focused on planning and fundraising initiatives. In January 2015, editorial responsibilities take on a bit more weight as the process of selecting and editing essays for publication begins.

The deadline to submit applications for consideration is 11:59pm on Monday, October 12th, 2015.

IDIOM Volume 9: Final Notes

The ninth volume of IDIOM, published and celebrated at our annual journal launch earlier this spring, is now available.

Physical copies are free of charge and may be picked up during business hours at the Department of English, located on the 6th floor of the Jackman Humanities Building (170 St. George Street). Alternatively, journal requests and inquiries may be submitted via email, with applications sent to idiom.journal@gmail.com.

This volume (among previous others) has also been catalogued with the University of Toronto Libraries, and is additionally accessible online (by navigating the “Volumes” tab).

2014-2015 Call for Editors

IDIOM is currently seeking new members to join the 2014-2015 Editorial Board, to assist in producing the journal’s ninth volume. If you are interested in getting involved with the University of Toronto (St. George Campus) English Department’s undergraduate academic journal this year, please visit the “Apply” section of the website to download the Application Form. There are six (6) Associate Editor positions available for individuals interested in developing experience in the selection, editing, and publishing of literary criticism. We are also seeking one (1) Managing Editor to moderate the submissions process, and one (1) Layout Editor to design the journal in Adobe InDesign. Please see the “About” and the “FAQ” sections on the website for more details regarding these positions and what they will entail.

Editorial Board commitment during the first semester will be centred on planning and fundraising. The majority of the work will begin in January 2015, once the Board begins to select and edit essays for publication.
